What can I expect to do in this role?
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Learning, Development and Diversity Consultant will lead the design, delivery, and continuous evolution of learning initiatives that make a measurable difference. By partnering directly with leadership, the Consultant will create learning solutions that allow Exhibition
Place
to
invest
in
its
people
and
culture,
deliver
results,
accelerate
culture
and
workforce
transformation,
facilitate
workforce
transition,
support
talent
development
and
staffing
efforts,
as
well
as
lead
Diversity,
Equity
and
Inclusion
(DEI)
Action
Plan
initiatives.
Responsible
for
providing
learning
and
development
guidance,
advisory
and
consultative
services
to
develop
capability
aligned
with
Exhibition
Place’s
strategy,
values,
and
competencies.
Creates a positive learning experience for employees by
introducing
modern
and
highly
engaging
learning
experiences.
Identifies
best
practices,
carries
out
post-implementation
analysis,
and
provides
recommendations
for
new
and
custom
approaches
to
ensure
continuous
improvement
and
enhance
organizational
effectiveness.
Manages logistics
such
as
communicating
initiatives,
preparing
course
outlines,
coordinating
with
the
operating
units
on
programs,
managing
vendors,
entering
and
tracking
training
data,
monitoring
the
budget,
and
coordinating
with
HRIS
to
aggregate
development
objectives
and
plans.
Manages
the
Learning
Management
System
(LMS),
creates
and
uploads
content,
tracks
data,
and
provides
detailed
reporting
and
metrics
on
the
Learning
and
Development
Framework.
Delivers
engaging,
on-site
presentations
and
co-facilitates
training
workshops
focused
on
performance
management,
goal
setting,
and
professional
development.
Assists
in
the
planning
and
coordination
of
educational
events
and
other
special
events
for
Women
of
Explace,
aligned
with
the
organization’s
strategic
plan.
Supports
the
team
in
delivering
orientation.
Responsible
for
developing
and
facilitating
group
training
sessions
and
delivering
innovative
solutions
that
enhance
organizational
effectiveness
and
are
aligned
with
organizational
objectives
at
the
individual,
leader,
team,
and
organizational
levels.
Assists
with
and
supports
the
talent
development
and
mentorship
programs
that
drive
succession
planning
and
build
a
leadership
pipeline.
Leads
and
supports
the
advancement
of
our
Diversity,
Equity,
and
Inclusion
initiatives
across
the
organization.
Maintains
the
Human
Resources
Information
System
and/or
database
and
prepares
monthly,
quarterly,
and
annual
reports
as
needed.
Assists
with
the
initiation,
development,
implementation,
and
evaluation
of
policies,
programs,
and
procedures
related
to
human
resources.
Maintains
and
updates
confidential
employment
records.
Participates
in
special
projects
related
to
human
resources
management.
Supports
new
hire
onboarding
and
other
staffing
initiatives
when
required.
Performs
other
HR
duties
as
assigned.
How do I qualify?
3-5
years
of
experience
in
Human
Resources
in
major
unionized
public
or
private
sector
organizations.
Adult
Learning
accreditation
preferred.
Demonstrated
competencies
or
accreditation
as
a
D
iversity,
E
quity,
and
I
nclusion
resource.
Experience
working
with
Learning
Management
Systems
required.
Proficiency
in
the
Microsoft
Office
365
environment,
including
Outlook,
Word,
Excel,
PowerPoint,
Teams,
SharePoint,
SCORM
files,
multimedia
files,
interactive
HTML
content,
etc.
Experience
in
the
design,
development,
and
delivery
of
learning
strategies
and
programs.
Experience
utilizing
software
packages
(word
processing,
spreadsheets,
databases,
and
electronic
mail).
Experience
with
ADP
Workforce
Now
and/or
Human
Resources
Information
Systems
is
an
asset.
Working
knowledge
of
employment
and
related
legislation
(Human
Rights
Code,
Employment
Standards
Act),
contractual
obligations,
collective
agreements,
and
Human
Resources
policies
and
practices.
Good
interpersonal
and
collaborative
skills,
with
the
ability
to
communicate
effectively,
both
verbally
and
in
writing,
at
all
organizational
levels.
Demonstrated
ability
to
handle
confidential
documents
and
reports.
Proven
customer
service
skills.
