JOB DESCRIPTION

The Kitchen Department is currently looking for a Kitchen Helper. This position involves delegating tasks and ensuring high quality preparation of all food items in a timely manner. The successful candidate is a dedicated, passionate individual who is knowledgeable; customer service oriented and with al proven demonstrated abilities in a professional kitchen.

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES

Functional knowledge of kitchen areas operational skills in preparation and execution of modern cuisine

Assists with social parties, banquets and special events

Customer service focused

Ensures kitchen is clean and sanitary and is in compliance with all provincial requirements

JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from Culinary college

Minimum of 1-2 years of professional culinary experience

Ability to work nights and weekends

Strong basic foundation of culinary skills

Good organizational skills

Outstanding customer service skills with a can-do attitude

Food Handler Certification & WHIMIS

Basic computer skills

Candidates must have their own safety shoes.

This is a casual on call position requiring flexibility and shift work, including days, evenings, and weekends.
