While the work involves national and international travel and overtime, most days you’ll be home at the end of your workday. Note that office on-site presence follows Government of Canada directive. We care about our staff’s well-being and development and that’s why we’ve created an onboarding program with a buddy system to accompany you during your first weeks. We are constantly working to improve our training programs in order to support and promote the learning and growth needs of our staff.

You may also negotiate complex agreements, develop mitigation strategies, control frameworks and risk assessments, and resolve contentious issues with public and private sector organizations.
Positions in a regional office or in a Transport Canada Centre

These activities may include vessel plan approval, the review of technical documents such as stability booklets or Safe Manning Documents, the conduct of inspections, the audit and monitoring of Canadian Recognized Organizations, and the conduct of seafarer examinations for Certificates of Competency.
In this position, you will be required to provide technical advice and use your interpersonal skills. You may also play a crucial role in environmental protection, including marine and air pollution prevention and may provide crisis management response to accidents, pollution incidents, and marine emergencies.
