Is this a government site?
No. PublicJobs.ca is an independent job board. It is not affiliated with any government or employer. Every Apply link goes to the employer's own posting.
Will a membership get me a job?
No. It's a search tool, not a recruiter. It saves you time and helps you not miss a posting. Hiring decisions are made by each employer.
How do the weekly matches work?
After you join, you add your resume. Every week we compare it with the new openings and email you the ones that look like a fit. The same list is in your account.
What happens to my resume?
A resume you save on your account for weekly matches is stored as text only (up to 15,000 characters, not the file), used only to find matching jobs, shown only to you, never sent to employers, and deleted when you remove it or delete your account. A resume used on the Match page is not stored.
Why pay when employer sites are free?
Job pages and Apply stay free here too. You pay to skip checking 83 careers sites, and to have the jobs that fit you sent to you each week.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Cancel yourself on your Account page, by email or by phone. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. If it's not for you, email us within 5 days of a purchase or renewal for a full refund.

Prices, in Canadian dollars. No other fees.
Prices are shown plus applicable GST/HST. GST/HST is added at checkout for your Canadian billing province, and the total with tax is shown before you pay. Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Quebec, Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon are charged GST at 5%. Ontario is charged HST at 13%. New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island are charged HST at 15%. We are not registered for Quebec sales tax (QST), so customers in Quebec are charged GST only.
Each plan renews automatically at the same price, plus applicable GST/HST, until you cancel. We email a reminder at least 30 days before a yearly renewal and at least 7 days before a 3-month renewal. There is no free trial that turns into a charge, and there are no countdown timers. If you are not signed in, enter your email on this page, then pay on Stripe. We email you a sign-in link so you can open your account.
You can cancel yourself on your Account page, by email or by phone. After you cancel, access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. You can ask for a full refund within 5 days after your first purchase and within 5 days after each renewal, by emailing hello@publicjobs.ca from your account email. We issue at most one such refund per account in any 12-month period. We refund the full amount, including tax, to the original card within 5 business days of your request, and your membership ends when the refund is issued.
One resume match is free, with or without an account. Matching is never required to get the weekly email, and the weekly email is never required to match.
Memberships are offered to people in Canada only.
